Peachtree Center

ADDPMP018

Mixed-use center in Atlanta, Georgia, designed by Architect John Portman and completed in 1988. A defining feature of the Peachtree Center is a network of enclosed pedestrian skybridges suspended above street level, which have garnered criticism for discouraging pedestrian city bustle. Most of the structures in Atlanta’s Peachtree district were designed by Portman, who died in December 2017.
