Detroit techno producer Claude Young is well-known for his dark but dreamy productions on Frictional Recording, 7th City or Djax-Up-Beats labels in the 1990s.
He moved to London in 1994 and started djing more and more across Europe, with a unique style that is both highly precise and genuinely emotional. Some people say they saw him scratching on the turntable with his nose once.
This video was shot at legendary Tresor Club in Berlin, 2001.
His best known studio mixes include: AX-033 Claude Young ‘Thoughts Of Phutura’ (the only official mix compilation for Jeff Mills’ Axis Records) and his legendary Claude Young DJ-Kicks Mix for K7!
